What Is Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, energy-based practice that supports relaxation, grounding, and overall well-being. Rooted in Japanese tradition, Reiki works with the body’s natural energy system through guided attention and subtle awareness.

Sessions are calm and non-invasive, offering space for the body and mind to settle. Many individuals use Reiki as a way to reconnect with themselves, release tension, and support emotional balance.

Sherry is a Reiki Level 2 practitioner, offering both in-person (when available) and distance sessions.

Supporting individuals who are seeking greater self-awareness, clarity, and meaningful change.

HealYou.ca offers counselling and integration support designed to help you better understand yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and move forward with greater confidence and intention.

How Reiki Sessions Are Offered

Reiki can be experienced both in person and at a distance. Because this work focuses on energy and awareness, many individuals find that online (distance) sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions.

Sessions are primarily offered online across Canada.
In-person sessions may be available locally when space is provided.

What Reiki May Support

Reiki may be supportive for individuals navigating:

• stress and emotional overwhelm
• anxiety and mental fatigue
• difficulty relaxing or sleeping
• emotional tension or energetic heaviness
• desire for grounding and reconnection

Each session is guided at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.

What to Expect

During a Reiki session, you are invited to rest comfortably while guided awareness is brought to different areas of the body and energy system. Some individuals notice sensations such as warmth, relaxation, or subtle shifts in awareness, while others simply experience a sense of calm.

There is no pressure for anything to happen — the process is gentle and unfolds naturally.

How Reiki Is Used

Reiki is often used as a complementary approach alongside other forms of support such as talk therapy, integration work, or personal development practices. It offers a different way of working that focuses less on talking and more on allowing the body to settle and reset.

Reiki is a supportive wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or emergency care.
